It’s our second annual Taste the Taps cook-off. Last years event was a fun day for all. This year will be even bigger and as usual we use the day to help support a local charity. Our charity is Caitlyn’s Vision. Caitlyn’s Vision is a local non-profit organization that strives to support children who are suffering from visual impairments, blindness or a chronic illness by making their lives more comfortable.
What’s it all about:
A little known secret is that Cooking with beer enhances the flavor of most everything. We thought we’d put that to the test in the “Taste our Taps” Cook-off. Contestants will make their best meal using one or more of our beers on tap. Entries will be judged by the public and a panel of judges. The winner will be crowned champion and win a fabulous prize, but let’s face it everyone who comes down will be a winner. The entry fee for cooks is $30 with all money going to the grand prize.
For guests, it’s $15 to taste all of the dishes. A portion of the proceeds from the day will go Caitlyn’s Vision to so we can spread some love. This includes the majority of the tasting fee and $1 for every pint of beer sold from our Charity tap. Help us support this great charity while enjoying some awesome food.
